Privacy Policy
This policy explains what information Your Smart Stack collects, why we collect it and what you can do about it. It covers yoursmartstack.com, the AI Roles Map at aitools.yoursmartstack.com and our companion apps (together, “Your Smart Stack,” “we” or “us”). Your Smart Stack is based in California. Questions? Email caren@carenglasser.com.
What we collect and why
Free membership and account sign-ups. When you join free (including through the 12 Days of Claudmas or the AI Roles Map), we ask for your first name, email address and a password. We store your password only as a one-way hash, so nobody here can read it. We use your details to run your account, show you what you’ve unlocked and saved, and send you the free skills, resources and trainings you signed up for.
Quiz answers and saved tools. If you take the AI Roles Map quiz or save tools to your stack, we store your answers and choices with your account so they’re there when you come back. We also note which platform your answers point to, so the emails you get are about the tool you’re actually using.
Skill downloads. When you download a 12 Days of Claudmas skill, we record which day you opted into so your dashboard can show it and so we can send help for that skill.
Paid plans. Smart Stack + memberships and companion app purchases are paid through Stripe. You enter your card details on Stripe’s own payment page; they never reach our servers. Stripe tells us your email address, what you bought, the amount and whether a payment succeeded, failed or was refunded, and we use that to turn on your access and keep business records.
Email list. Your name, email address and the tags that say what you signed up for (for example, the 12 Days of Claudmas or a platform from the quiz) are sent to GoHighLevel (LeadConnector), the email and CRM platform we use to send our emails. Every email has an unsubscribe link.
Referral links. If you arrive through a Partner’s link, we store that Partner’s code in a first-party cookie (yss_partner) so they can be credited if you join or buy. It contains only the code, not anything about you, and it’s never shared with an ad network.
When you email us. We’ll have your email address and whatever you include, and we use it to reply.
Analytics and advertising, only if you say yes
If you allow analytics cookies, the site loads Google Analytics 4 (with IP anonymization) and Microsoft Clarity. They show us which pages get read, how people find us, which links get clicked and where people get stuck. Clarity records anonymized sessions of how pages are scrolled and clicked; it never records what you type into password fields.
If you allow marketing cookies, the site loads the Meta Pixel, which lets us measure our Facebook and Instagram ads (for example, that someone who saw an ad later joined) and show our ads to people who’ve visited.
None of these load until you choose to allow them in the cookie banner. If you reject them, they never load. The AI Roles Map uses a privacy-friendly, cookie-free page counter instead.
Embedded video
Videos on this site are hosted by Open.Video. Each one shows a still image until you press play. Only then does the Open.Video player load, and Open.Video and its partners may set cookies and collect information about your device and viewing under their own policies.
Things every website receives
Like any website, our host (Hostinger) keeps standard server logs, such as your IP address, browser type and the pages requested, for security and troubleshooting. The AI Roles Map loads its fonts from Google Fonts, which means your browser shares your IP address with Google to fetch them.
Cookies and how to change your choice
- Essential. Always on. Your sign-in session (app_session_id), your cookie choice, the referral code described above, and small notes in your browser’s local storage such as whether you’ve already signed up. None of these track you across other sites.
- Analytics (Google Analytics, Microsoft Clarity). Off unless you allow it.
- Marketing (Meta Pixel). Off unless you allow it.
You can change your mind at any time with , also at the bottom of every page. A change takes effect from the next page you load. If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, we treat it as a “no” to marketing cookies.
Who else sees your information
We don’t sell your personal information. We share it only with the services that help us run Your Smart Stack:
- GoHighLevel (LeadConnector): our email list and CRM.
- Stripe: payments.
- Hostinger: website hosting and our database.
- Google: Google Analytics (if you allow it) and Google Fonts.
- Microsoft: Clarity (if you allow it).
- Meta: the Meta Pixel (if you allow it).
- Open.Video: the video player, once you press play.
- A Partner who referred you sees your name, email and what you bought, so they can see their commissions.
We may also share information if the law requires it, or to protect the rights and safety of Your Smart Stack and the people who use it.
How long we keep it
- Your account, saved stack and quiz answers: while your account is open. Ask us to delete it and we will.
- Purchase and payment records: as long as tax and accounting law requires, usually seven years.
- Email list details: until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete them.
- Google Analytics data: up to 14 months, then deleted automatically. Clarity recordings: up to 30 days; Clarity summaries: up to 13 months.
- Server logs: a few weeks, on our host’s normal schedule.
- Your cookie choice and the referral cookie: in your browser until you clear them (the referral cookie expires after 400 days).
Your rights, including California residents
Wherever you live, you can ask us to tell you what personal information we have about you and give you a copy, correct it, delete it, or stop emailing you.
If you’re a California resident, you have these rights under California law, including the right to know, the right to delete, the right to correct, the right to limit the use of sensitive personal information and the right to opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information. We don’t sell personal information and we don’t collect sensitive personal information. Allowing the Meta Pixel may count as “sharing” for advertising under California law, so to opt out, reject marketing cookies in Cookie settings, turn on Global Privacy Control in your browser, or email us. We won’t treat you differently for using any of these rights.
To make a request, email caren@carenglasser.com. We may need to confirm it’s really you first, and we’ll respond within 45 days.
Do Not Track. Browsers handle “Do Not Track” inconsistently and there’s no agreed standard, so we don’t change behavior when we receive it. Instead, analytics and marketing stay off unless you turn them on.
Children
Your Smart Stack is for adults running businesses. It isn’t directed at children under 13, and we don’t knowingly collect their information. If you think a child has given us information, email us and we’ll delete it.
Keeping information safe
Everything is served over HTTPS, passwords are stored hashed, and card details stay with Stripe. No method of sending or storing data online is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable care to protect yours.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we’ll update it here and change the effective date at the top. If the change is significant, we’ll email members.
